Since starting in the cycling industry alomost 25 years ago, I have always wanted to build something from scratch, make my own mistakes and revel in my own success. I always wanted to build a brand - the process, the team - everyting from nothing.
To an extent I was able to do this in custom cycling clothing, with Champion System - I introduced the brand to Australia, NZ, JP, UK and EU and for a lot of years was at the helm of developing and steering the brand, but at the end of the day it was someone elses creation.
Circumstances arose where I had the chance to have a crack at my dream and develop my own custom cycling clothing brand - DETOUR CUSTOM. I wanted to take all the experience and expertise developed over 18 years in the custom clothing game and deliver the Ultimate Custom Clothing Solution - DETOUR.
